Attach coach stereo yellow wire to where?

Post by Astrodokk »

I've read the forum threads and posts.
Seems that connecting the yellow to the empty VCP wire is what others have done.
I have not and will not remove my VCP, so where would I attach the coach stereo yellow wire to, if the VCP is still connected?
I read that the radio will not work when both are on that same line.
Since I may not use the VCP much anyway, should I just cut that wire and use it for the yellow?
I will do that if there's no other way.

The yellow and red both can be attached to the same constant hot and a switch can be put on the line that shuts the unit down without killing the constant power. That switch on my unit acts like turning an ignition key off.

For old folks like me, will you please tell us what a VCP is, so we can understand your concern.
Thank You.

VCP is a VCR that does not record. Video Cassette Player. They pre-date VCR.
