And the weekend just started! I had my State inspection last week and was told that while passable, the rear brakes were really worn down. I made an appointment with a Ford truck center to have them replaced. Since I didn't have a service history from either of the 2 previous owners, I asked Ford to check the front brakes too. I also told them I've been hearing a binding sound whenever I turn hard right or left.
What was found and repaired:
- Rear brake pads, rotors, and seals
- Front brake pads, rotors, seals, repacked wheel bearings
- Driveshaft u-joints binding so replaced
- Found rear differential fluid dark so replaced
I feel comfortable now and it rides better. But boy did I take a dent to the wallet! What adds to my expensive weekend is my 2 car garage door's spring broke and I had to have that replaced...

Re: Expensive Weekend
Skillet,
Why don't you make up some of that cost and drive with Uber? Just think what you could charge driving the bar hopping crowd around or travelling poker games? I'm going to have a few parts replaced soon and I already feel the pain.

Re: Expensive Weekend
I would sometimes think that. Have a video playing on the tv and if we get stuck in this horrible D.C. traffic, they would have a bathroom and a place to heat up their food...
